Best Dentist in Rotorua, no doubt. I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years so I was quite nervous. Sharleen (Dentist) and Tammy (Nurse) took great care of me making me feel comfortable throughout the process of having two wisdom teeth removed. Incredible from start to finish. First time patient here. Booked in for an urgent check; arrived at 3pm, seen straight away, xrays completed, quick chat with the Danny and Tammy and wisdom tooth was out within minutes. Fairly painless without any concerns and was back on the road at 3.25pm. Everyone was incredibly friendly and super efficient. Thank you all!

Had such a positive experience here! After going to Lakes Care Dental and not having a positive experience, I was a bit hesitant to go anywhere in Rotorua but this was a totally different experience. Really nice wahine on the front desk who pronounced my name correctly woooo. Super informative hygienist who talked me through everything, super gentle and kind with me. Then the dentist (DANNY I think his name) talked me through my X-rays and different scenarios for my wisdom teeth. I’ve never experience so much service and knowledge shared. I just had braces treatment. Now my teeth look amazing and miles better than they looked before. The team at The Dentists were absolutely amazing and assisted me through my 4 years journey (2 years palatal expander, 2 years braces). My self confidence has been totally restored. They were all friendly and cheeful without fail, often having to deal with staff shortages, however remaining patient and gracious throughout. Superstar service all round. Highly recommended.

Had one good appointment with them when I needed a filling, but then subsequently tried to get me back to redo multiple fillings without explaining why I needed it done. Felt like they were just trying to milk more money out of me rather than actually provide the service I needed.

The team at The Dentist on Pukaki St were amazing! I had an extraction done and both the reception staff (Tara and Sarah) alongside the dentist himself (Danny) and his assistant (Chey) all made such an easy and literally pain-free process. Not to mention they were able to accomodate my needs on short notice - 10/10 recommendation.

Went in for my annual clean and check and Gaius was super quick to find teeth that needed attention! He was very helpful and broke down why it was important to do fillings, to further prevent damage and to help minimise pain. The treatment session went smoothly, all three fillings done in 30 minutes - also was kind enough to help me find a Dentist that could help with my wisdom teeth situation. Overall, a very promising Dentist and would 100 percent recommend going to him and the Staff at The Dentists!

I had a tooth that needed to be removed and I couldn't control the pain. My own dentist couldn't see me for another 2 weeks so I called The Dentists on the off chance they could fit me in that day. The lovely receptionist, Tara, talked to one of the dentists, Mia, and she told me she could fit me in the next 5 minutes. When I got there I was greated with a very warm smile and was made to feel at ease by Tara. Mia took me in straight away and with the help of Niamh they removed the tooth in a very professional and caring way. Mia explained everything she was doing and what was happening as she was doing it. Niamh was so kind and caring and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed through the whole procedure. The team at this place are wounderful, caring and very professional, in both their manner and look. I can not recommend them highly enough. I have already made another appointment to have my teeth checked and cleaned. You are all amazing.

Danny Lee@ TheDentists, was recommended to me as I had had some horrific dental experiences in the past . Now I look forward to going to the dentist as he puts me totally at ease! I asked him to "future proof" me and he has done an ABSOLUTELY magical job. He is the best dentist I have ever had, really knows his stuff AND fantastic at alleviating any stress. I have total confident in his abilities. ( I am in my 60's but I really like eating and intend to chew my way enjoyably into my golden years!) There has been no nasty surprises as Danny explains exactly what is happening and why these things are necessary. I trust Danny 100%. If you have to wait to see him , it is worth the wait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Less than a week ago I went and saw Dr Mia Chua and her assistant Tammy. Want to say thank you so much for your treatment. I have a tricky wisdom tooth extraction that I knew would take time and careful tectnec to get out. Mia and Tammy were both very informative and put my needs and comfort first during the whole procedure. Like I say the extraction happened less than a week ago and has almost completely healed only needed pain relief first day and was able to attend work that night with minimal discomfort. I highly recommend Mia she is gentle and extremely caring. Thank you 😊

I have been a patient at The Dentists-Taupo for many years and the service has always been excellent. Zai and his assistant Lizzie are very professional, empathetic and I always feel very well informed throughout my treatment. I highly recommend Zai .. he is definitely the best and most competent dentist I have visited in my many years of dental treatments. I also appreciate that The Dentists keep up with the latest technology and it was amazing to see my new crown being made in 8 mins onsite at the clinic!!

The experience was reassuring and successful for me. Jess was exceptionally thoughtful and helped me through what would otherwise have been a very difficult time for me. Although this place is a little bit dearer than some others it is completely worth it, the service is amazing and the technology they have means a really thorough, quality job. I've been to a few different dentists in the bay, and this place is by far the best!

The Dentist, Taradale is a very well equipped professional dental practice with the latest technology, whose friendly staff go the extra mile to explain my dental care, solutions and treatment. Recently, I had to have a crown repaired, which previously would have taken 3 weeks. Rather than having to make a mould and send it to a lab to have the replacement crown made, photos were taken of the area to be repaired, edited by Sean, and sent to a 3D printer which I watched make my new crown. What previously would have taken 3 weeks to have done was completed in less than an hour using the latest technology. Excellent prompt service. Highly recommended.

All staff are very professional and welcoming. Jodie and her assistant work well together! Jodie explained everything very clearly and friendly, making you feel comfortable. Sean and I discussed a plan they created for my dental care which included pictures/scans. They made it very easy to understand and affordable. Sean was able to answer all my questions and guide me through the process. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Sean also released my tongue tie, he made it very quick and easy! I can honestly say this was the best dental care I’ve received, such a lovely environment.

I write this review as I am leaving Whanganui and it will be difficult to replace my Dentist. Mark at the Dentist has been incredibly thorough, even calling me to follow up, rather than me having to call. I have dental anxiety, and it is great to have a dentist I trust

Arriving at a new dentist is always a bit worrying, but the initial treatment, a filling, was soon completed. At the suggestion of the dentist, I came back for a full "tooth" survey, which sadly identified several problems that were not easily seen. Although it was expensive I followed up on the treatment plan over the next two years. I wasn't rushed. The work involved several crowns, but unlike in earlier days these were completed on the day using some fancy computer program and 3D printing technology. The dentist and nurse were very pleasant and listened to my concerns and "moans about the water spray" stoically. Altogether the cost was worth it, as I'm a no longer concerned about what "could" go wrong.

Thank you to the Team at The Dentists Whanganui in particular Jino. I turned up for the appointment with massive toothache and was accompanied by a girlfriend as I was terrified to walk in the door. From the very beginning Jino put a tearful lady at ease and made her very comfortable. He formed a plan for my teeth health and then met with my husband and I to explain every procedure that was recommended and why it was recommended. There was no pressure from Jino to have the work completed. Cut a long story short it took nine visits to Jino and one of those was with sedation. I had 3 extractions, 4 fillings and 6 crowns completed. I could not have done this without Jino’s compassion and understanding. He understood that for some just gathering the strength to walk in the door is going to be the hardest thing they do that day. Throughout each visit Jino was patient with me when I needed a bit of a moment and explained each step as he was completing the procedures. To anyone who has not been to the Dentist in a very long time due to being scared of the Dentist ….. Jino is the Dentist to visit.

Friendly service from the front desk to the dentist chair, and always happy to answer my million questions. I had 4 wisdom teeth out and while I was nervous they made the whole process very pleasant and walked me through the recovery process.

Highly Recommended - The Dentist Whanganui has an outstanding team who are professional and put the patient FIRST. If you are like me, who are a little bit nervous about going to the dentist, the team puts all your nerves at ease. From consultation, to sitting the chair they made sure my experience was transparent, pain free and professional. Outside of the patient first approach I liked that I could ask follow up questions as it helps me understand what it is they are communicating to me. Have already recommended The Dentist to a couple of people and I hope this review gives you the confidence to make an appointment. 👍👍👍

I am really impressed with The Dentists in Whanganui. I have Tony Lim as my dentist and I have never had such pain free and comfortable dentistry. I find Tony great at explaining what he is doing and why and patient and considerate during treatment. I would strongly recommend Tony and this practice.
